Getting Started: What Button Do I Push?
"As I welcome you to my blog I’m asking myself the question: What is a blog anyway? Is it a modern high-tech version of the diary logging the experiences and observations of a local public official? Is it an almanac capturing my far flung and scattered interests in fields ranging from ornithology to baseball? Is it a disciplined effort to share with you a well-written piece on a daily theme? (Psst…Don’t take this as an example.) Or is it just a steady stream of consciousness floating by without even primary treatment."

Currently, there are very few blogs or listservs, that we know of, that focus on issues East of the River.  There are many issues that confront our neighborhoods that lists could be established to enable community dialog:

Child Care
Education
Environment
Gentrification
Health
HIV/AIDS
Housing
Imminent Domain
New Development
Politics
Retail Services
Transportation – Traffic
Youth Violence

We invite you to create a blog or listserv and let us link it to East of the River Online.
